Helen Putnam Regional Park for hike

It's still sunny, let's go!  In spite of knee pain I thought that we needed to walk to reshape our bodies.
Beautiful blue sky was covered with clouds which look like cotton balls all over.

We started to hike on the Panorama trail which is quite steep.

When you reach the top, you can see a gorgeous green hills view.

Newly grown green grass color was a very nice treat for our eyes.
We even saw horses between hills.

Fresh dried trail was fun to walk, the sunlight was so perfect that my husband who forgot his hat was OK without.

In the middle of the Pomo Trail we had a hard time not to slip on the muddy and squishy ground.

Along the skinny trail, poison oak's new leaves were hanging from both sides so we had to watch out very carefully.

The thrilling hike was finished in 46 minutes, but it felt like more than one hour.

When we came back to the parking lot, we had one tangerine each in our car, that taste was so good.
Because we know these trail already, today's hike was fun.  I could enjoy it very much.

We need to keep hiking more than ever to stimulate our joints, we thought.

Hike and Bike

Enjoyed seashore hike with good old friends. The weather was perfect with a nice breeze.
Because of the low tide, the hiking was so comfortable for our feet.
2 days before walking 2.2 miles in our neighborhood worked very well as preparation for this hike today.

We felt so good.  We even had energy to ride over 5 miles afterwards at night.

Afternoon Hiking

My friend told me that we might bike over there.  So we decided to hike the trail this afternoon.
North Sonoma Mountain Regional Park was newly open this year.  On the way to the parking lot the asphalt road surely looked new.

We hiked the trail to Jack London State Park which my friend told me was very nice for hiking!  The air was fresh and the bay leaves smelled so nice.

Unfortunately we had to give up and go back down just before the Bennett Valley over look because my hip joint started to hurt, but we enjoyed this view very much.

While we were hiking today, three mountain bikers passed us.  I wish I could have good balance and no fear of cliffs, it would have been an exciting discovery day today.  But for hiking I'd like to come back in the future.

Checked the trail and Hiked

Shollenberger Park, I've been thinking about to bike.  But I don't want to repeat the fear and misery like past experience.  So we went to hike there yesterday afternoon.  Even though we hiked before long time ago, I couldn't remember if it's OK for me biking or not.

Hummmm.

This paved road looks narrow, better to bike on the other side of  the bench, I wonder.

Hummmmm..
This gravel path is wider than the paved road, but it might be harder to balance for me, I wonder.

From here I have no other choice because there is no paved road.  How hard it would be for me to ride on gravel road, I wonder.  In addition some part of right side is Petaluma river down there.

I wonder how people could get over their fear???  I should practice on safe road until I feel get used to riding?  I guess so...  NO that's boring.   I should try riding on trail until not feel it and give up to come back. That's much better.

Poor Mr. WhP, it must have been hard for him to accompany with me.

This is the nice place.

By the river there is the sign.  Yeah, it is essential for both people and cyclists.

Hummmm.....

We hiked for over 2 miles.  We could walk faster than before!

5-27-15 Bicycles in life

Monday 25th and Tuesday 26th, we walked 2 miles and biked our neighborhood 5 miles on each day.  We got just pooped.  Mr. wheelpedal was no energy left, and I noticed finally after gardening a little bit, oh, my goodness, I'm exhausted.

So we decided today is for resting.

Found interesting videos.

  Laughing made me cheer up

I need this slow pedaling practice!

My eyes can't follow the speed!

Well, I hope I can ride tomorrow.  My plantar fasciitis on the right heel has gone now!

5-23-15 Practice, practice.....

We rode along the plan I made last night.  5.5 miles  Unfortunately we both forgot to time.  After lunch I was going to go again, but the fatigue came out more and more to let me down.  I felt sorry about myself.

At least we walked 2.5 miles on paved road.  Surprisingly it was easier than used to be.  My legs must have been stronger than before.  That's a good news!

We searched and searched about possible bike road to try.

We both are timid people to try new things right away, but I want to try tomorrow at least short course!
