The movie motivated us

So we paid Amazon to watch the movie the first time.

We liked it very much.  I got interested in what they ate during the long distance biking and also, of  course, their mental attitudes.

Watching somebody riding better than us was fun and fascinating.

The end of the film said,
This silent voice hypnotized me.

Next morning was unexpectedly sunny, so we got excited and went out after 30 minutes TV exercise warm up.

We enjoyed flowers, tree flowers, happy singing birds, and clean air refreshed by the last rain.  Everything was perfect...

until sudden pouring rain!!!
And it was getting harder and harder.  Just 15 minutes to reach my goal of a 60 minute ride.
So we continued riding miserably, especially me without wearing a jacket,  because it was nice and sunny before.

Then, finally we reached 60 minutes, and came back!!
Feels GOOD.  Thank goodness.

Pain in my right knee and heel

I just don't know what happened to me.  Luckily my right side headache has gone.  My neck got normal.  The arms are OK, my hands are stiff like from arthritis.

But my old right knee pain came back which I got injured three years ago.  I'm limping right now.

Today I drove our car to go grocery shopping, but I felt weird feeling, so gave the handle to him to drive back.  For the same reason I'm afraid of  riding a bicycle now until all this strange pain and uncomfortable feeling has gone away.

In addition it was extremely hot day today continuously since yesterday.

We watched two movies.  After watching " Bicycle thief," I needed to cheer up a little bit.
Picked these music videos up from You Tube.

Resting, resting, ....

Recently we both are getting tired deeply and can't get lid of it soon enough.  That must be because of aging.  We were not tired so much last night, but we got really exhausted this morning.  And it continued all day today.  At night we finally got better a little bit.

The movie we watched " 2 seconds" was very sad for me.

The scene she was bashed by an idiot driver's car door opening, and she was pushed into air, made me traumatized.  I still can remember even now.  And the scene where she soaked her butt into a basin which was filled with iced water after long hours riding.
But her beautiful and lean legs and arms were really fascinating for me.  I wanted get that really short cut like her, and I was almost going to go the hair cut place, but I held myself.   First I need to reduce my weight.

"The Kid with a Bike" was pretty good.

I was amazed to see the boy who twisted his handle and stood still by balancing.  Also he was carrying a bag of charcoal in one hand and the handle with the other hand to ride back home.
I wish I could have that balance.

Sorting, cleaning, reading and shopping.  It was pretty resting day we had.
Hope we will get more energy tomorrow at least a little bit.

It's already hot in the morning!

The temperature was 82F at the front of our house and 90F at the back, so this was the chance now to ride today.  We just drank water and munched one bite of fig bar, and left.

Yesterday's trip was in a new place to ride mainly so that we couldn't ride freely because it was necessary to stop to check a map, and to be careful how cars were coming on the road.  Because of that we couldn't finish riding 10 miles.

So I thought that we should ride at least 10 miles today.  And we did.  10 to 15 min. before the end my knees were starting to hurt and legs were tired.  We drank a little salted water twice, and one bite of granola bar during this one hour riding.  We came back in heat 100F!

Last night we watched a movie, "Copenhagen".  That was quite nice.  Especially I liked their public rental bicycle system.  Just put a coin to rent the bicycle and bring it back to the rack in the city.

Books and movies for another kind of enjoyment

It's hot again.  So we canceled the bike challenge today even though I planned it last night.  In addition this is the Forth of July weekend, it might be full of cars on the street.

So I made a list of movies and books about bicyclists.

First I requested our local library to get the book, "Miles from Nowhere" by Barbara Savage.  And Mr. WhP bought the kindle version of "A wheel within a wheel:  How I learned to ride a bicycle" by Frances Willard.  99 cents!

And we watched a 2012 movie "Rising from Ashes", quite an impressive documentary film.  We both liked it.

Well, unexpectedly soon, our recently purchased bike gear was delivered!

A bicycle trainer.  Just a stand, so I have to use my metronome to hear the count.
He put it in the garage, first.  But I asked him to bring it in the room.  That's more fun.
We both tried already about 5 min. each, and got tired so soooon.  My reality is too far from my dream again.
But I will do better.  Maybe a little by little.
