We were going to take another bike trip this afternoon, but we both somehow didn't have enough energy. Especially I was still tired, so lay down and read the book "Miles from nowhere," and I was relieved and amazed that they got into Spain.
And we rode on familiar roads with no stress.
For first 10 min. easy riding at 8 to 10 mph, for next 10 min. kept 10 mph, then for 5 min. easy, because I couldn't keep going, then for another 25 min. tried to ride fast as I can on up slope and down slope repeatedly, for last about 10-15 min. easy riding for cool off.
When we finished, we both felt better. But it is always the next day's condition that matters.
Distance: 10. 2miles, Max Speed: 19.5 mph, Average Speed: 9.2 mph, Time: 1h05min.

Short ride
The book which I requested to hold came to the library, so I got it.
" Miles from Nowhere" by Barbara Savage
When I read her book for some pages, I liked it immediately, because her writing is easy to read and fun. I read aloud to share with Mr. WhP, and we enjoyed together for a while. Actually he has been reading the kindle of A wheel within a wheel: How I learned to ride the bicycle by Francis Willard.
The local library has this book, so I borrowed it too.

Books and movies for another kind of enjoyment
It's hot again. So we canceled the bike challenge today even though I planned it last night. In addition this is the Forth of July weekend, it might be full of cars on the street.
So I made a list of movies and books about bicyclists.
First I requested our local library to get the book, "Miles from Nowhere" by Barbara Savage. And Mr. WhP bought the kindle version of "A wheel within a wheel: How I learned to ride a bicycle" by Frances Willard. 99 cents!
And we watched a 2012 movie "Rising from Ashes", quite an impressive documentary film. We both liked it.
Well, unexpectedly soon, our recently purchased bike gear was delivered!
A bicycle trainer. Just a stand, so I have to use my metronome to hear the count.
He put it in the garage, first. But I asked him to bring it in the room. That's more fun.
We both tried already about 5 min. each, and got tired so soooon. My reality is too far from my dream again.
But I will do better. Maybe a little by little.
